/On 11th March, a few Singaporeans came together to get to know each other. Chit chat and enjoy being together @ Score.
On 2nd March, a few ladies came together to try their hands at Macrame, a versatile craft that has its roots in 13th-century Arabic culture and was hugely popular back in the 1970s.
During the process of knotting, there were moments of silence, but mostly, the air was filled with lots of lively chatter and laughter.

Good evening Scoties,
Trust everyone had fun and enjoyed the AGM cum CNY Lunch last Saturday judging by the high energy and excited chattering throughout the event.
Almost 80 people turned up for the celebration including many newcomers who joined us for the first time and lohei to a prosperous 2020 with Fa Cai Yu Sheng(raw fish salad) and many Singaporeans delicacies - supplied by Ping's Thai Teochew Seafood Restaurant of course :-)
As informed during the AGM, the Exco committee will organize at least 1 event each month for this year to cater to different segments of people within our club. e,g, youths, working adults, homemakers, teenagers, families with children, retirees etc. Hence, we are kicking off March with a Macramé workshop! THE ART OF MACRAME Macrame is believed to have originated with 13th century Arab weavers. It later gained popularity across Europe and England.
Come join us for a Macrame workshop, where you will learn the art of tying basic decorative knots. This versatile craft can be used to make everything from wall hangings and plant hangers, to jewellery and bags.
We promise lots of fun and laughter at this small gathering of like-minded individuals. Don't be afraid of making any mistakes, because all you have to do is untie and start again! At the end of this beginner's workshop, you will walk away with a pretty lantern and a boho accessory. Interested? Reply to this email to register by 24 February 2020.
Seats are limited, so sign up today!
>>>>>> A little bit about the Trainer: Marta Marta is a creative soul, who loves spending time on art and craft. Her passion for Macrame is evident and she would like to share her knowledge of this simple yet intricate craft with you.
